Missing Gavin

Take Care

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away to the next room.
You are you and I am I
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me the easy way which you always used to.
Laugh at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me;
Let my name be spoken without effort.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was;
there is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of your heart
because I am out of your sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and we will be as it was before -
only better.
Infinitely happier and forever -
We will all be one with God.

Death is Nothing at All,

I just wanted to let you know that I stopped by and am thinking about your Gavin today. The Mother's Day entry that was from you daughter made me cry as this was my first Mother's Day without my son as well. I love all the pictures in the collage.

Sal-Thanks so much for coming over, for commenting, for holding Gavin's name in your heart for a while. These little things are the big things, aren't they? You'll be in my prayers tonight.

My Mushky,
I'm thinking about you and sending love. Mr. Coleman is breathtakingly precious and I want to reach in and hold him. I was holding you in my heart on mother's Day.
Love, Shelly

Annie, I'm kinda becoming a regular...It's Jocelin, remember me--you wrote such nice things on my blog! I just thought I'd share a blog with you http://moodymiracles.blogspot.com/
it's friend of my sisters and she has a little boy with special needs and health problems, who was never expected to live--the Dr.'s said he wouldn't live through labor and birth but he's 3 now I think. Anyway she has unique challenges that she faces with so much courage not ever knowing how much time she has left with her son and I just thought you might enjoy taking a peek at her life. I find her so inspiring. Jocelin
